Where Our Sofas Come From
On manufacturing, partnerships, and how we choose to make things
Furniture is about time and touch. You live with it. You sit on it, lean into it, rest around it — often, without thinking. But the way it’s made shapes how it feels, and how long it lasts.
We don’t build everything in one place. Today, our production is based in Hubei, China, but we are pushing our new production line in Vietnam and Malaysia.
This isn’t about cost efficiency. It’s about working with partners who value consistency, care, and long-term craftsmanship just as much as we do.

Why These Countries
Our longest-standing manufacturing partner is in China. Their woodworking teams are precise and reliable, especially when it comes to internal framing and structural balance, which we take very seriously.
Every factory we work with has gone through rounds of prototyping and hands-on development. We don’t chase mass output. We choose partners who respect the details.

What We Mean by “Good Manufacturing”
The comfort and durability of a sofa often come from what you can’t see — how well the frame holds up, how resilient the foam is, how evenly the seams and fills are finished.
That’s why we don’t ask our partners to work faster. We ask them to work better.
On Transparency and Trust
We understand that “furniture manufacturing” can feel distant. In an era where offshore production is expected, it’s more important than ever to be clear and honest about how things are made — and by whom.
We’re proud of the people we work with. And while we may not have every factory photo to show you yet, you can feel the result in every piece:
solid, thoughtful, and made with care.
